Default Slight burnt rubber smell - normal when new?

I've had my TTS a little less than a month, put a few hundred miles on it this weekend (I'm up to 1200 now), and I noticed a very slight burnt rubber smell outside right after driving it at the end of all this. I seem to recall that this was "normal" when my vette was new. Is that what others have experienced? Everything else seems not only normal, but amazingly good. Thanks in advance.

It's called "Porsche perfume". It's normal, and not just when the car is new.

Perhaps your tires are worn out or heat cycled to hockey pucks or you drive to slow...

Actually mine doesn't smell as much as my previous 911s, but it's still there, especially after a hard drive.

Many thanks for the replies. Although I suspected it was normal, it's a relief to have that confirmed. This forum is a great help, and I'm glad to be part of the community of car nuts.
