OEM Exhaust question

I'd be curious how a Porsche dealer can CPO a 991.1 with an AM exhaust with sport cats.
I traded my 991.1 on a 991.2 TTS and had to remove the AM Sharkwerks exhaust.
The dealer even had to swap out brand new (500 mile) Michelin PSS I'd previously installed, for Porsche approved Pirelli P Zeros in order to qualify the trade as a CPO for the next owner.

My car came with a Europipe exhaust and was CPOd with the exhaust. Not only that but I have proof that it had the exhaust prior to CPO process because I have detailed photographs of the pre-purchase inspection.

I think you're right. When I bought my 997 TT, it had a radar detector and a Lojack installed. The dealer removed these two items, and installed new N-spec tires. They said that it wouldn't be possible to CPO it otherwise.

I was made to believe all cars must conform to Porsche's rigorous standards to qualify for a CPO warranty... but just recently I saw my trade-in CPO'd '14 Turbo still had the Michelin PSS tires installed.

Interesting and a good deal!!! Was the OEM exhaust also included with your car?

When I put the deposit down on the car I didn't know that it had a non OEM exhaust. Then I had a vehicle inspector go to the dealership and do an inspection and take photos. He called me and said car was in good condition, no body work or paintwork, tires were lightly used, ceramic rotors were near new condition, filters were clean, etc. So I released the wire transfer.
Only noticed the exhaust when I looked at the detailed photos later. Thought muffler looked different so I posted it on here, and then got the nice surprise that I got a $4000 exhaust for free.
In defense of the guy who did the CPO, the Europipe is so well made it looks like an OEM exhaust.
That said I would never buy a CPO Porsche without an independent inspection.
I know another guy on this board who bought a CPO car with a broken front spoiler (expensive repair). Can't believe they passed that. They tried to deny the claim, but he also had pre-purchase photos to prove that it was damaged before he bought it so the dealer had to eat the cost of the repair.

Car arrived safely last Friday and digging the Fabspeed Exhaust. I would need to put it next to an OEM exhaust to tell the difference, but it sounds great when I fire it up in the AM :-) So it appears I'll be sticking with it for now!

That's what I like to hear! If you want anymore goodies for it give me a holler, and enjoy the system
