Shopping for a 991.1 TTS
After running various scenarios regarding purchasing my current leased 911 C2S, it looks like there is really no advantage (in fact I will be upside down by almost $12k) so I have decided to shop for a low mileage 991.1 TTS - purchase or lease assumption. Flexible on color and options (except yellow). Would really appreciate any leads and advice.

Price seems right for a low mileage car. I paid 140 for mine in the last week of May. You will see lower prices, but usually the ones with lower prices are not "clean".

Correct, it's a 5/14 build but warranty was punched on 5/15. Not excited about the color but there are not many clean cars out there. Plus this one has full front clear bra and was a trade in. I was eyeing a 16 CPO TTS but they are not willing to negotiate. Sent from my iPhone using Rennlist

Should I get the car inspected by a certified inspector to ensure there are no issues? It is a CPO and has a clear carfax but the dealer will not certify for any body work, abuse or track time.

That's actually a well optioned car. I'm going to be against the grain with many others here but I prefer the sound of the Bose. The Burmester is just not a "rockin'" tone. It's refined, yes, but I guess I like to blast the music too much to like it. I've had it on my last two including my current .2.
My last TTS was a 2014 Cab spec'd with same color scheme as yours. VERY sexy. The black/red interior is so good looking.
Personally, I'd be fine with the CPO without further inspection. Btu it's a subjective question. I'd test everything mechanically and electronically and drive that bay straight to redline off the lot!
Congrats!

Thank you for the suggestions, I asked the dealer to provide a paint meter reading and all checked out fine. They also checked the rotors and looked for any signs of abuse and confirmed the car was driven very carefully. Previous owner is a MD and this was not his daily driver nor was used for racing/track time. Its practically new but I have made an appointment with the tech at the dealership to run another inspection before I pick it up on Saturday. They provided the inspection report and service history and all checked out fine. Will check the aero bladder also.

Looks a nice car OP. I would ask for an ECU readout on number of launches, also check the rev range counters and, if there is any history of prior fault codes. It's amazing what these ECU's can tell you now about how the car has been driven and also if its ever had a tune in at any stage. The PIWIS tells all! Do a value analysis log. For ultimate piece of mind!
PS. It can even tell if the car has ever had an aftermarket exhaust on it at any stage as 99% of the catted systems won't match the OEM values.

Sounds like you have done everything right. Talking with my porsche dealer they/porsche will NOT CPO a car until they have looked at data from the ECU. So they have most likely done that and are ok with what they learned.
Don't worry about a quality aftermarket exhaust. They allow your car to operate more efficiently and also helps with reducing heat. Your all good and if any unexpected issue comes up the CPO warranty will cover you.
Enjoy.
