Personally, I love the Alcantara steering wheel and seat inserts. I just traded out of my 14 for this new 17 I built (GT Silver, black interior, sunroof delete!!) and just love it. Feels much more comfortable and special.

Also, I skipped the Burmeister this time. I think the Bose sounds fine, and weighs much less. I have B&W speakers at home, so who cares what XM radio sounds like in the car.

Carmine red is beautiful. Nice job!

Thanks Randy! I agree on the Alcantara. Wifey wants the ventilated seats so the inserts are not an option. Without the inserts, I feel the steering wheel would feel out of place. I sure do love it though. Have it on my Spyder!

Agreed. Alcantara just feels more special. I got the Alcantara inserts and had the lower dash covered in Alcantara through the Exclusive program on my '17 that is on order. I didn't do the wheel though. My 997.2 GTS has the Alcantara wheel -- and it gets pretty ratty pretty quickly and I'm fastidious about cleanliness. You can clean it, but it'll never be as soft and look as good as new. It'll develop a matted patina from skin oil. 'Drives me nuts.

I just think a solid roof makes this car a winner. Respect to those who didn't' tick that sunroof box. It's easy to get caught up in "Its a GT car so I got everything" mentality. The car is simply, visually (except black) and mechanically stronger with a fixed roof.

I'm definitely not a sunroof guy, but the contrast color of the glass roof completes the look I'm going for. I wish they offered a carbon fiber roof. I'd take that all day.

The glass sunroof does not have a shade from what I understand. If you must, go with the painted sunroof. My order has no sunroof. Had many and never used them. The glass to me cuts the car in half. If the glass has a shade please correct me.

There is a shade on the glass roof. I have it on mine.

The glass sunroof does have a shade. It is also quite comfortable to ride with open at speed. In addition, the rear spoiler will automatically deploy when the roof is open when in sport mode at about 78MPH.

I probably won't use it much either, but love the look of it. It does have a shade but I plan to see if I can add a ceramic tint to it to help with reducing heat transfer.

I owned high end audio stores for 40 years and their is no question that to "good ears" the Bose system is marginal. However a point made above that the acoustics as well as the noise levels inherent in a sports car might make spending more a lot money on the Burmester questionable. Listen for your self.

Cognac Espresso interior looks good with Carmine Red in my opinion.
