The order was put in late January. They did have an open slot at Beachwood Porsche in Ohio. I was going to buy a used 2014 TTS from them but ordering the newer version just seemed to make more sense. Entry into body shop is 04/08 and exit is 04/15.

S. Fl. dealers make Euro delivery unbearable. Shop multiply dealers until you find one that embraces the process. Also, call the Euro delivery dept. at PNA and find out the details before you talk to any dealer, that way you know if your stealership is full of Sh**, which most are.
I have done 3 Euro deliveries all great fun. Just ordered my 4 th euro delivery.
and remember, SUNDAY MORNINGS ON THE AUTOBAHN ARE THE BEST

Nice video! Isn't he caning it a little for a new car. I thought you are supposed to keep it moderate for the first 2000 miles. One of the reasons why I thought EuroD would limit you testing the full potential on the autobahn.

If VAT tax, then VAT is due 30 days in advance of your delivery date; payable when you sign the final P&S. You get the VAT back within 30 days after the car is delivered to you in the US. It's essentially a zero interest 120 day loan to PAG and ensures that there are no shenanigans that stick PAG with the tax.
Also, $25k is not enough for VAT on a Turbo. Did you round down by several K$?

Deposit? Or VAT Tax? If deposit then that's BS.

That's strange. I assume you negotiated a price and deposit amount when you did the deal and signed something to that effect? And that you've provided the dealer with no reason to suspect that you're going to attempt to back out before taking delivery in Germany.

Yes. Maybe I seem suspicious.
