Ceramic Coating

Ceramic Coating
Hey all,
Now that I've finished installing my STIR + ALP combo, I'm onto my next set of mods. Getting Europipe, some HRE P101s, and an AWE S Flo carbon fiber intake. One of the things I'm having done is getting the exhaust ceramic coated prior to receiving it. I've seen a lot of people discuss mods but it doesn't seem many people go for ceramic coatings on things like exhaust, headers, etc. Why is that? As I understand it, it's basically cheap insurance against the elements, protects nearby components from a bunch of excess heat, and helps exhaust flow more freely due to more uniform heat distribution. Are people doing this and just not talking about it, or is it perceived as snake oil? Personally, I think there is tremendous value there, and will definitely be doing that; just curious to know others' opinions. Also interested as people have mentioned heat soak issues which, I would imagine, this would help with.
Thoughts?
