Default Need Help Deciding

Hi all,

Looking to make a move on one of the following 3 cars. Each are within 2-3k of each other re: price. I'm leaning towards the 2016 because of it being a newer model year and the color, but on the fence because of the multi-function wheel.

What do you guys think?

Option 1

2016 911TT - Price: $146,110

N0 - Agate Gray
AZ - Black Leather Interior
342 - Seat heating (front)
345 - Steering wheel heating
446 - Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
640 - Sport Chrono Package
651 - Electric slide/tilt sunroof
658 - Power Steering Plus
844 - Multifunction steering wheel
P3L - Premium Package Plus
XSC - Porsche Crest on headrests
XUB - Headlight Cleaning System Covers in Exterior Color
ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest

Option 2

2015TT (roughly 80 miles on the ODO) - Price: $145,500

A1 - Black
AZ - Leather interior in Black
342 - Seat heating (front)
446 - Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
581 - Luggage net in passenger footwell
583 - Smoking package
630 - Light Design Package
640 - Sport Chrono Package
653 - Electric Slide/Tilt Sunroof in Glass
EEJ - Carbon Fiber Interior Package
P07 - Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way) with Memory Package
P3L - Premium Package Plus
XHB - Center console trim in leather
XSC - Porsche Crest on headrests
XUB - Headlight Cleaning System Covers in Exterior Color
ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest

Option 3

2015TT (roughly 110 miles on ODO) - Price $142,100

A1 - Black
AZ - Leather interior in Black342 - Seat heating (front)
640 - Sport Chrono Package
651 - Electric slide/tilt sunroof
EEJ - Carbon Fiber Interior Package
P3L - Premium Package Plus
XHB - Center console trim in leather
ZAB - Ornamental Porsche Crest

I like the electric roof in GLASS. That was a MUST for me...but my car is white.
Option 2 - but I would def get at least 8% off MSRP if not more.

What do you think about it being 2015 vs 2016?

Pretty good deals. The 2016 seems to be the best offer money wise but better to go with the car that has the most options/colors you want.

If you are not getting a larger discount on the 2015 - go 2016, but I know many dealers are giving nice discounts on 2015's. If the price you listed is the MSRP, then you should be able to it in low $130's

If resale value is a big concern then pick the 2016...

If it's to drive and enjoy w/ no thought to resale, then Option 2:

It has the glass roof, sport design wheel w/ paddles, the carbon interior w/ leather center console and it has the 18-way seats

I'd say #2--you get paddle shifters, 18-way seats, and smoker's pkg which is nice for concealing a radar detector control. It has the best sunroof and the CF pkg does add a nice luxury touch. All good prices and #2 is about 9% off MSRP; did you negotiate already?

I like the options but am scared of trying to maintain a black car. I'm not a DIY maintenance kind of guy unfortunately.

Re: the 9% off MSRP, how are you calculating that? I'm showing to be almost 12%. Dealer's price is 165,015.

On a side note - what % off MSRP should I target for? And does it vary based on existing inventory vs new order? Someone on another thread mentioned that markup is 12%.

Sorry-I just did a quick estimate based off my window sticker but I don't have zab, xub, xsc, or xhb. I just got 8% off on my new 2015 in June and was happy with that, so almost 12% off sounds fantastic, even with 80 miles on the odo. My last tt was metallic grey and easy to maintain; never had a black one so I can't help with exterior care. Also, 18-way seats are fantastic but I've not had standard 14-way seats so don't know if they're a noticeable step down--if not, maybe #1 is a better choice. And it's a 2016.

Thanks for the input. I've started to lean towards #1 as well. The only difference between the 14-way and 18-way seats is the fact that the side bolsters are adjustable on the 18-way. I'm thinking I can live with that.

Thanks you to everyone else that took the time to respond and chime in as well!

If that is the actual deal price option 1. If you can negotiate the 15 down some as you should be able to then option 2.

Those are the actual deal prices. Option 1 is at 9%, Option 2 is at 12%. Option 2 dealer isn't willing to go any lower.

I've stopped looking at Option 3.

12% off is great.

Just my .02....not sure how you plan on paying for this -- all cash or finance because that sometimes makes a difference. If you finance, keep the loan for at least 7 months, they get a kick back.

Regardless, go in there, write a check before hand for $143,500 and say this is what I want to pay and I will pay cash or finance it.

That would be my approach.

You're getting an approx. $4k bigger discount on a better optioned (imo) car. It has the paddles / sport wheel, glass roof, nicer interior (carbon, light design package, smoking package) and the 18-way seats.

Go for the 2015......Black isn't too bad to care for..I've had a few

If you are keeping it for long term (5 years +), take 2
For 2-3 years, definitely take the 16
