Default 2016 build ordered

Ok, by way of introduction, here is my build.
Delivery scheduled mid November.
My past four fun cars have been corvettes.
As a friend reminded me the other night, I've been talking about the Porsche turbo since 1975.
I was looking at a boat to do the great loop(intercoastal waterway from Florida to upstate NY, over to the Great Lakes, down Mississippi River to the Gulf and around Florida until you cross your wake).
My wife wasn't excited about this trip. She asked if we would be able to afford both and I said we probably couldn't.
Next words out of her mouth " let's go buy the car you've always wanted". 3 days later it was ordered.

So........
991650. 911 Turbo S Cabriolet
N4. Dark Blue Metallic
7V. Cabriolet roof in blue
Bh. Natural leather interior in espresso/cognac
342. Seat heating
581. Luggage net in passenger footwell
583. Smoking package
970. Two tone leather interior
998. Natural leather interior
P3L. Premium package plus
P3m. Burmester infotainment package
XEY. Led headlights in black incl. dynamic light system
XFJ. Instrument dials in white
CGJ. Sport chrono in white
XHB. Center console trim in leather
XUB. Headlight cleaning system covers in exterior color
EEA. Leather interior package

Paint shield and bel sti-r/ALP radar/laser protection ( Cartunes Atlanta install) to be added prior to delivery.

Amazes me that I'm finally doing this.

Sounds like my thought process exactly. Always wanted a 911 Turbo. More money than I could afford but I said what the hell I will only live once. No regrets.

Great build, Tom! These cars are fantastic daily drivers. November will feel like 6 months away but that'll make the rest of summer go slower...good thing.

Great build! You've been waiting 40 years, so why not wait 41 and get the new 4.0L motor?

Of course, the Machiavellian part of this ( which I didn't realize until later), is to spend several months talking about something (boat trip) that she's not completely excited about, then spring the alternative- let's buy a Porsche. Suddenly it seems like a great idea. ;^)
