Has anyone experienced an annoying "beeping" noise coming from the engine when their car was brand new? You can clearly hear it inside the car and also outside from up to 20ft away.
I was told it's an oil relief valve sticking and that it should resolve itself....
They've ordered the part, and will install it... but I had to bring it to their attention as I was preparing to drive away....
point is, I'm just a little PO'd that my dealer would release a new car to a customer when it was doing this.
I got the same issue when I got my 991 TTS delivered, they told me it's a known issue, I remember it was the part in the oil bump.. It's a easy fix, don't worry, mine got fixed in the next day
I had a faint but audible beeping noise coming from the rear first pointed out by me to my salesman at delivery. He talked to service and told me that Porsche knew about this and had ordered a part. No other information was provided. This only occurred with the engine running at idle. The very next day the beeping noise went away by itself never to return.
Put ~30mi on the car today and the noise does seem to be going away.... maybe just wishful thinking???
Will put a few more on and then see if it resolves itself, or if it needs a service intervention that my service mgr says, "It's a minor fix which takes no more than 4hrs."
Took delivery of a 991 TS today, and have this exact beeping. Glad I found this thread, cause it was freaking me out big time. Deciding now if I should run it by the dealership tomorrow or just give it several days to see if it goes away by itself like a couple of you guys experienced.
Hmm. Can't say I got any beeping thankfully, but great to hear yours went away. Nice looking car Btw. Looks beautiful and, like yourself love the "aston" taillight look (if that's what you could call it). I will say I'm a little mixed on the clear tail light look though. Not sure if it is an improvement over the reds which to me work better with the red callipers, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Enjoy!
