Phewwww. Glad that this is a common issue and not something major.
Had this happen today for a solid....5 mins of driving. At one stage it was ridiculously loud. Had a quick look, could not find anything.
I thought for sure something was broken and started raging...I was just about to call Porsche and it stopped. Hopefully no long term damage has occurred.

This happened to me as well, almost had it flat bedded to dealer thinking it was transmission. Felt like brakes were partially engaged, like I was dragging something. Activated and deactivated the emergency brake thinking maybe it was partially active.
Was enroute to sons school function. Entire time there, I could only think about car. When I left, made a very loud screeching - metal on metal sound- then was fine.
Took to dealer the next AM. They found no issues. Said PCCBs looked fine. Hoping the rock in rotor theory was the culprit!

I've had it with both of my TTS's. Rock stuck in the brakes. It happens even more often with Cup2 tires, because they are softer and more prone to pick up debris/pebbles. I have a BMW M4GTS that does this far worse than the Porsches, and there is really no fix. I've never had a dealer offer to fix a PCCB rotor over it. It can last from 5 seconds to 30 minutes, and makes me crazy still after all these years.

Have had the same issue on multple TT’ 2010-2017, as well as. Boxster S.
two things were causing my issue.
1. Water getting into the brake and causing a bit of contamination (think light layer of rust);
or
2. A small rock into the brake as has been described above.
in etiehr case, I found that if I gave the car a hard acceleration and and a hard braking, the problem dissapeared. Comletely.
hope this is helpful.
