Because it looks better without all the rear badging and he knows it's a Turbo S. He doesn't need the badging to remind himself or impress his friends and passer byes. It's called self confidence.

And to think I spent all that money just to have the "turbo s" on the back of my car.

Besides, someone who knows 911s will know it's a Turbo and can make an educated guess that it's an S (or they could crawl under the front and check the spoiler to be sure ). If they don't know 911s, then the badging wouldn't mean much anyway.
That may be what some people want, and I understand it completely. Nothing wrong with that. Personally, though, I'd rather fly under the radar than be an attention/judgement magnet.

Bingo. I bought the car to entertain myself, not to impress anyone else.

Although I opted for the base Turbo, it's the same mentality. It doesn't need to be advertised and anybody who is familiar with the 911 will know what it is. And I know what the car is, I really don't care who else does.

Thanks (to everyone). After all the agonizing over colors and wheels, and a seemingly infinite number of passes through the configurator, I'm *very* pleased with how it turned out.

To tell ya the truth,if ordered a car from scratch I do not know if I would add some or all of the lettering. It was on my 11 TS and the 14 TS also so I assumed it was on all.Did you order your car with no lettering or have the dealer/someone take it off ???
By the way, lettering really do not mean much, most know it is a 911 Turbo,I mean how can you not know that..
