You're on a roll brother.. Yeah.. I agree.. Agency Power is best... Those nice folks at Vivid only sell the best!
Oh and one more thing frustrating about the 991 (Carrera or turbo) The sealed engine compartment. Porsche said "Hey wait a minute.. Too many People are doing their own maintenance. We'll put a stop to that!"
You cant even get to the airbox unless you go from underneath! Maybe they have locked the Pollen filter too so it has to be replaced "by a trained technician"..

First major maintenance on the 991 is @40k miles, until then only oil every 5k miles, every 10k at the dealer, the other ones at home, one filter only.

But even on the 993 all you did from above was change one of the oil filters, the air filter and distributors caps and rotors. the rest had to be done from underneath . Getting that second oil filter was a Pita, the spark plugs had to remove the exhaust, and even then one of them was a real pain. Even the rear deck struts were a pain to replace, specially the left one.

I guess I'm just spoiled because the 996 and 997 were (for the most part) very easy to work on..

The 991TTs is the most hideous looking $200K car on the market. There's nothing special about it and it will never sell as many as the 997TT. But I will be glad to pick one up for half the price in a few year.

991 TT " the most hideous looking" . Perhaps a tad overstating. While I agree that the 997 TT is aesthetically more appealing, the 991 is hardly ugly. I still wouldn't throw it out of my garage. However, as has been stated numerous times, we all see the world through different eyes.

It's better looking at $150K.

Agree new cars often draw negative criticism particularly from owners of outgoing models yet once the price finally comes within reach the same car suddenly morphs into a supermodel and the plastic turns into leather again…

However I can afford a new 991TTS but in my eyes it is not worth $200K. I'd rather spend the equivalent for a lightly used F458 ($220K-ish) which I consider to be more "special". But to each his own.
Sounds like you're in the market for a new TT, you should definitely go for it and enjoy it to the fullest. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what others think as long as you get satisfaction and joy out of ownership!

Not necessarily. The F458 is insanely gorgeous as is the Aventador and I'd happily pay full price for a new one of each if I had the means.
