OK, In that case you're young, I stand corrected….but I'm still old and I like the challenge and art of mastering a three pedal car..

Italian cars are really expensive to maintain... I seriously will trade my car for a 997 GT2 if they go down a littler... I can't afford to buy a $150k car... But maybe I can get to 120k

Were an F car is concerned it depends on how old it is. From what I understand all the later Ferraris are sold with a 7 year warranty and free servicing, free brake down service etc. Excellent customer service from what my brother reports so far. May be different in US? This is where Porsche falls over imo. Given the price tag their warranty is out of step with todays standards and whilst they may extend goodwill once the warranty expires you are basically in the lap of the gods. Goodwill also usually only applies to the original purchaser and the books need to be in order.

Ferrari & Lamborghini are for people who doesn't have any economical worries .... When somebody ask how much is the maintenance of the F430, Gallardo, 458, Aventador, etc that means they shouldn't have it.... Lol I shouldn't have it! I will be destroy if I ever have to pay 40k to do the engine of my car, that's when I think I can afford to have a Porsche but not an Italian sport car, specially because the chances you will blow the engine of a Porsche are very low.... I wish u could say that with Lamborghini & Ferrari.

I'm sorry to hear that!

I'm sure if you didn't have that injury you will be driving a manual TT!

I wonder if the 996 IMS crowd agrees with you?

But as I wrote before I agree that F-cars are super expensive to upkeep.

Update on the test drive. They now have the car in the front window and tell me that if I want to drive it I will have to make a pledge to buy it. This is typical of the first models to hit the showroom. They act like it the only TT in the world. That's okay.. I understand car dealers..

I will be patient and wait until more cars are in the market.. Then they will change their tune a little.. It's just a car and I'm not exactly slumming in mine..

And Speed you are probably right. Just because I don't like (parts of) the TT now doesn't mean I won't change my mind down the road...

My comments sure created a great thread though!
