I'm jones-ing for a 991 TTS but will have to wait until the price of used ones gets a little more reasonable. All you guys who have them now, enjoy them in good health. They are the most beautiful Turbos produced since the 965, IMO

I also buy the newest and best cars all the time, including a new 14 loaded Turbo S and I also loose my *** when I sell them. So I just ignore it,so it does not hurt so much. But,I do like the new toys and my new TS is the very best car I have every owned and I am Happy...It is only money,if you can afford it,do it and enjoy what you want..Life is short...

1) A new 991TTS will never draw the attention and deep admiration that yr. 993TT will. You own an icon, perhaps the only car I wish I'd never sold. It's a teutonic terror and a head turner. The 991TTS is just another marginal stylistic iteration on a 996TT and 997TT, all rather unnoticeable.
.
Not in 100% agreement here. Just got my 991 TT and it has been a head-turner. I traded my 2014 991 C2S with the Aerokit Cup and it got some looks as well. My California gets TONS of looks and I thought I would get nowhere near the looks in the TT but I was wrong. Today as I'm going through a n'hood gate a guy is shooting pics from behind in his Saleen and when driving through Starbucks the guy at the window asked what kind of car it was and tells me that everyone inside was guessing.
On another note, the looks are fine and great but in performance, the car over-delivered to my expectations. The launch is vicious. Handling is superb at low speeds and highway speeds.
When I roll in the 14 Black Turbo S, I get attention all the time.I always see people looking/ taking pictures..The TS is at the same level as the many Vipers/ZR1s I have had in that area..As for the TS it self,I am very happy with the 200 Large I spent for it.The TS will out run most any thing and it drives like a Benz when you are just cruising..Ya,these toys cost $$$,but that is what it for,to spend it....
Buy the way,I chose the 14 TS over a 458 Italia...
Going through a similar thought process as the OP....
Scenario 1/ Buy the new '14 TT Cab that's at my dealer now. Scenario 2/ Buy the well optioned used 991 C2S Cab that's there and wait a few years to buy a similar TT Cab.
Affordability isn't as much the issue, as is my pseudo-Scottish heritage...
