Default Deviated stitching

How much is it to do deviating stitching throughout the car? It was very expensive on my 991S and thought I heard it came down in price. Doing black interior with white deviating stitching on a TTS Cab. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure you can get pure white stitching, I believe Perl Grey is the closest to white you can order. The last line of the list before the total ($80) is if you order the rear tunnel in leather (XHS),.....I have it and highly recommend it. If you also want the steering wheel done, that is a regular option in the configurator.

Deviated stitching front+rear seating (Pearl grey) 24891 $1,100.00
Deviated stitching dashboard (Pearl grey) 24901 $390.00
Deviated stitching center panel (Pearl grey) 26741 $390.00
Deviated stitching upper door trim (Pearl grey) 24902 $390.00
Deviated stitching arm rest (Pearl grey) 26751 $310.00
Deviated stitching door handles (Pearl grey) 26761 $390.00
Deviated stitching rear side panel (Pearl grey) 24905 $390.00
Deviated stitching for XHS rear 90003 $80.00
Total= $3,440.00

It's quite ridiculous really. "You want a different color thread.... $3440!"

But I hang my head low as I would probably opt for it myself. Sigh.

Suzy, I've seen option CZW "Additional Interior Package, Dashboard Trim in Leather" with deviated stitching at least in pictures of cars on the web.

Do you know what the option # is for that? Maybe it is a zero cost option and you just need to make sure your order includes the color to use?

You can decide that yourself if you want it in matching or deviated color. Just be sure that your salesperson specifies it in the order.

LOL! You're right...

Still not 100% sure. First need to see the Macan in person. If I like that as much as I think I do, than I can also decide wheter I go for a Turbo S or a C4S...

I love the look of deviating stitching and that is in my interior. But let's face it, it is a typical Porsche cash grab. The cost of the thread and the labor to stitch it is identical whether it is tone on tone or contrast.

Their explanation is that they have to use an outside supplier for deviated stitching. Not agreeing with their explanation just stating it.

That explanation makes no sense. If they can stitch the same color thread in house, obviously they can stitch a contrasting color thread. The process is identical to both.

It is identical, it's just that it is not standard and therefore it needs to go to the exclusive department, which extra takes time and man hours. It has nothing to do with the color itself, just the process is different than standard.
