Lol yeah they might have switched to the clips for that model. A light push might pop them out.

Get the lid warm in the sun before trying to remove the plastic bits.

Ok..left side is done. I mistakenly thought that whole grid needed to come out to swap the fins out. Nope. The fins get pushed out from underneath, but like someone previously said.. you're gonna break the OEM plastic so consider those trash.

I'm gonna work on the right side and then figure out how to break the center.

All done.

I don't see how the OEM parts are salvageable unless you have a special tool. I used a small needle nose pliers.

I tried to salvage the middle section but after the first clip disintegrated, I went full Godzilla on the rest of them.

Good advice ..which I didn't see until now.

No worries. Honestly, if I was to sell the car, I'm not going through the trouble of reversing the mod.
