Tune - worth it on a stock 991.2?

As previously mentioned I'm a bit of a heretic on modding the 991 Turbo S. Part of my opinion is based on I have gone down the modding rabbit hole with other cars. Back in 2006 I was a BMW fanboy and took my E46 M3 to Steve Dinan's shop in Morgan Hill. About $40K and 3 months later he returned a full on Dinan S3R. Transformed the car into a real beast and fun daily driver. However, as time passed and newer more capable cars and features came out it was no longer that special. I still own that M3 and drive it a bit but my main focus today is Porsche not BMW. If I could go back in time and talk to my younger self I'd say to skip the Dinan upgrade and go buy a used 993 Turbo or a 2007 Turbo S.

I would agree with the 993 Turbo recommendation - those are getting pricey. There is no 2007 Turbo S - I believe the S only came later.
