Default Active aero pump

Does anyone have a good working pump for the front active aero that want to sell? Mine has been popping a fuse and I'm pretty sure its just a pump but not 100%.

Seems like all of our .1 and .2 Aero pieces are failing at the same time, here recently. Gives a good indication to their useful lives. I get mine back today/tomo, they replaced a sensor or something for my front lip/bladder, I'll find out exactly what part # it is when I get the 'bill' back, thankfully it's still under CPO...

I'd love to start looking at alternative fixed front lips that don't hang to low so I can delete this finicky system.

I posted my results in the "What Did You Do To Your Porsche Today" megathread, part nos. are there. With labor, would've been probably an $8k+ job. $0 cost because was under CPO. Replaced the entire bladder system AND control unit, as both were failing. Not looking forward to having to fix that myself in the future...

Sorry to bring up an old thread but where is the fuse located? I think I might have the same issue. Compressor doesn't even try to kick on

The fuse for the front spoiler compressor is located in the left footwell fuse box. Specifically, it is a 30 Ampere (A) fuse designated for the "Front spoiler control unit". You can find it in Row C, position 7 of the fuse box in the left footwell.

Fuse blew again after it inflated the front aero 3 times.

I guess I'll pop open the box and replace the air pump to start. Thanks for the help again

I would bench test the pump before you replace it. You could have a bad control module.

This was exactly what mine was doing. I replaced the complete control module box and it works like new now.

Yeah it's an issue with excessive resistance I'm sure. If I'm lucky it's just something simple like old soder points getting weak over time causing a poor connection.

Did you happen to pop your old one open to see what there was to see?

I did, the pump had a lot of black dust from the bladder breaking down so I think it was clogging the pump up over time.

Yeah my bladder (plastic bag inside the box) has a bunch of black dust in it. I tried giving the pump 12V directly to see if it would power on from a battery I had and it immediately started smoking lol. No wonder it keeps blowing fuses.

The pump is a discontinued part and unobtainable through retail channels. I am working on a different pump and am going to make a replacement and then try it out. If it works I'll try and offer a rebuild kit or service to people. This thing is incredibly simple, crazy they charge what they do for it lol.
