Good eye, it's a 2005. The list of mods is too long to post, but the whole engine was rebuilt before I bought it and upgraded with quality parts. That car is on my list next though to adjust the suspension, it's lower than both of my other cars and rides really rough. But it was a California car and has zero rust on it, 137k miles on the chassis and 3,000 miles on the engine.

Well, well, well, say hello to the very first Java Black STi imported into North America; I was the first guy in line to order one in Canada, but they wanted the first ones into Canada and the States to blue/gold wheels, and I wanted black with silver wheels.

@18k miles the engine let go, full rebuild, cage, suspension, turbo etc etc etc - 400, 425, 450 hp maps, and I too have been trying to figure out a suspension issue as well, and I am just about to roll over 6k miles on the rebuild. I would never buy another one, but with Cusco diffs and the lower FD, it is pretty entertaining as a city car.

Very cool! and yes, those engines are known to have catastrophic issues when you increase boost by even a half a percent ha love the color combo with the wheels also, very good look. Mine has a completely different suspension and it's alignment is terrible. I want to adjust the ride height before doing the alignment though. It's a fun car to whip around in and has a cult following.

Ha! Awesome! I use mine as a 'winter car' now; it pissed me off so much when it broke - did the engine and then couldn't get it to run properly, so it sat in the shop for over a decade, it has literally done an average of 2k kms a year since new.

I can see yours is pretty low - I had SSRs on it with a 245/35 and there was a immense improvement going to a 235/40 on an 18x9, and this was after I swapped out the suspension to BC, put smaller rear sway in, all new strut mounts and raised it a bit, but there is still something going on in the rear and it is really irritating; I'm thinking the next step might be to go to a lower spring rate, but honestly, after that, I am not sure what else I can do.

Yours looks very clean with that kind of mileage on it, very nice.

Thank you sir! This has been such a fun project. A few more small items to address but the finish line is in sight.

It was a busy weekend getting everything aligned and gapped correctly. Got the decklid adjusted and installed the wing and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! I got it out and put the first miles of the year on it and as often goes with my luck, it threw another CEL. I thought at first my repair on the EGT sensor didn't work, so I was mentally preparing for that annoying replacement. To my surprise though, the only code being thrown is P2414 which is for the O2 sensor #1. At this point I'm tired of trying to figure out what's wrong and I just ordered both bank 1 O2 sensors to replace them. So the car is back on the lift for the time being for easier access to them. But hey, it's still a win in my mind having everything installed and looking great.

That's looking good - I really like that front clip, seems to be right at home on the turbo.

Yeah I agree, it really fits the turbo and looks like it should come that way from the factory

It has, I programmed off the front spoiler last year with a ThinkDiag so that was pretty easy. For the rear, I increased the parameters for the speed deployment. When I checked the codes I did see some for the rear spoiler, but after clearing them nothing came back after the second drive. No dash warnings either. I'm researching a way to fully turn it off like I did with the front, but it's a little more involved. I should be able to do it with the PIWIS, there's settings in the programming to tell the car is has a fixed wing now, I just need to find it.

I think when the front air bladder thing lets go on mine, I'll be looking at doing something similar as to you, I think that has come out really well and I suspect it will be more economically friendly.

This bumper, complete and with paint, was half the cost of the replacement OEM front spoiler so it's definitely economically friendly ha
