Default Code P1373 - help!

Getting the P1373 code, has anyone successfully solved it? And what is the fix.

when the code comes on - car gets the warning message “consult workshop, driving permitted”, loose padddles, performance sluggish, turning off and on is not fixing the code, it stays.

any help I’d appreciated

2015 TTS

How old is your battery? Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? How often do you drive the car?

I could be way off here but I do remember seeing that when replacing the battery the new battery has to be "married" to the car. Something the dealer can do. Not sure this will cause this type of issue.

Now I will say I did a new Antigravity battery replacement of my OEM battery using a battery charger and had no issues. But just a thought. Of course I do not know how your battery was replaced.

2014 TTS and I've had two issues (about a year ago and oddly enough about the same miles as you) that had similar effect.
  • first - stumble and a pop noise, massive power drop, both the yellow 'fault engine control - possible to drive on' alternating with a red 'Reduced engine performance - possible to drive on'. Car idled but barely, and wouldnt go more than about 10mph. I only got home and only because it happened in my neighborhood less than 1/2 mile away. Result: boost sensor was bad
  • second - about 5 month later, power drop but not quite as extreme as the first time. Dash displayed red 'Reduced engine perf - possible to drive on'... This time it was the DME control unit and it needed to be replaced.
I guess my point is that there could be a lot of things that lead to the effect, so probably going to have to get with someone knowledgeable in troubleshooting them.
Good luck

Had this same problem for the last year or so . It would only go into limp mode every once in a while . Then it would do it every time I took the car out .
I ran 2 tanks of Techron fuel injector cleaner and changed all 02 sensors.
so far so good have driven about 400miles and all is good no codes and no limp mode .
fingers crossed . I will keep you posted . Also noticed before I changed 02 sensors my highway mpg were around 22/23 now there are back up to 26/27

glad that fixed the issue for you, did you have a aftermarket exhaust or stock?

I have both . And the problem existed with both exhaust and tunes . Factory and aftermarket .
I tried a lot of different scenarios to solve this problem . I’m sure there are also different causes for the imbalance of banks .
