I tried to search the archive but couldn't find. What is the source of the bubbling (not popping or crackling) sound when the car is in the sport mode?
It is an interesting sound compared to PSEs on 991.2 GTS for example. It is more of baffled pop if that makes sense.

 

The "backfires" are a feature programmed into he ECU enabled when in SPORT mode. They're playing with fuel delivery and spark timing to get some combustion occurring very late or even in the exhaust to give the sound effect.

 

Thanks. I guess the difference between this and the crackling/popping sound in GTS is attributed to the PSE. I know not everyone is thrilled with the stock exhaust note of TTS but I actually like it a lot.

 

Does anyone make a tune that gets rid of the burble in Sport mode?
