Yes, a lot of folks don't like the "Camaro" tail lights on the C7. Kind of like that I prefer the tail lights on my 991.2 instead of the tail lights on the 992 with the thin light strip that extends completely across the rear.

I just picked up a 2023 Corvette Convertible yesterday.
I have to say, I am really impressed with the refinement.
MSRP was $82850, lot of bang for the buck.
It definitely feels more refined than my 2015 991.1 Turbo S cabriolet, but my car is modded and definitely feels much more raw than the stock Vette.

The Porsche is way easier to drive, the C8 Corvette HTC has lots of blind spots due to the large rear canopies behind the driver and passenger.

Would I part with my Porsche for the Vette? No, but it wouldn't be as easy a choice as you might think.

I didn't want the Vette, my wife did.
I didn't expect to like it as much as I do after 75 miles of driving in 2 days.

Still in the honeymoon phase, but it is a nice car.

Wife is happy for sure.
I was babysitting my son's C6 Vette, I drove that back to him today, fun car with exhaust and x-pipe.

First off..Congrats and Enjoy the C8!!

I still find myself wanting a 7MT C7 ZO6 or GS (w/ ZO7 package) FAR FAR more than the desire for a C8.
I drove a C8 a couple years ago or close to it up near the tail of the dragon. Very nice car but just didn't do it for me like my TTS does.

I think only the C8 ZO6 with ZO7 package would be the only C8 I'd have an interest in but still not to replace the TTS, it'd have to in addition to it.
And there's NO WAY in H*** I'm paying what they're getting for a new ZO6!!! So that'll never happen.

No knocking the C8's at all... I just can't get used to it and what they cost.

C5, C6, C7's still have my interest way more (I guess mainly due to them coming in Manual.)

Very nice looking Corvette HTC. Fun car. But I still do not think it's on the same level as a 911 Turbo. I don't like having to go through the DSC many screen pages to change driving settings, etc. The new E-Ray with AWD might bring the C8 closer to the performance of the 911.

I purchased a 2023 C8 Stingray Z51 Coupe a few weeks ago. My 992 GT3 Touring Manual will run circles around the C8 - however the C8 is very comfortable and is a good value. I’ll keep it until my Eray arrives…
The funny thing to me is all the attention the corvette attracts (Rapid Blue). I guess most people see it as a super car because it looks exotic to them? At 82k - it’s a bargain. imo.

Completely agree...

I took delivery of a C8 HTC Z51 about two years ago. Had fun with it for a while, but it was ultimately not a keeper for me. Not even in the same league as a 991 Turbo in my opinion, but not bad looking nonetheless.

I wanted the ERay AWD, but over $100K is not Vette territory.

I know, but with the specs I wanted it would be over $120K, the C8 was $82K, I couldn't justify waiting and then spending another $40K when I have the AWD in the Porsche.
It would be a fast C8 though.

My last C7 was a 2018 Z06 Convertible, but it was an automatic.

The ERay was initially what I wanted, but this car was too nice to pass up. I tell my wife, I would never trade a Turbo S for a Vette, no comparison, but the C8 is nice enough to make you think about it.

I was hit or miss on the C8 styling, some are hideous. You have to get the right combination of colors, wheels, spoilers, etc... to make them look good.

I have never had a Vette longer than a year.
I am curious to see what happens with this one.
My Turbo S I have owned for going on 2&1/2 years, the longest I have ever owned a car.

Definitely missed the 991 TTS Cab that I sold in 21. Purchased an M3 COMP XD, nice car but didn’t hold my interest. Purchased a 23 C8 Coupe & really like this NA vehicle. Not fast like the TTS but it does have the technology, comfort and looks I come to enjoy at an excellent price point. The new TTS Cpe I was considering cost $280k where the Vette cost under 100k, I paid under MSRP.

Love the looks with the wheels, tint, and high wing.
What wheels are they? They look similar to the FF10s on my Porsche.

Interesting coincidence - I was at a Chevy dealer this weekend because I had not yet sat in a c8 and I wanted to know what the interior feel was like. I'm 6ft 4in and 295lbs, and I was surprisingly comfortable in there. They tried to sell me a CPO 2021 rapid blue HTC 3LT with 13K miles (https://www.mikemaroonechevrolet.com...d3ff6a439c.htm) I overheard one of the other sales people say to another that there was no realistic deal in progress because there was no chance in hell I was actually going to trade in my car on any Vette LOL. He was right though.
