Likewise.
I actually had an original 993 Turbo sales brochure that I took apart and made the same smaller poster for myself as a kid.
I'll have to try to find it, it may be stored somewhere in a box of old goods.
These cars really get under one's skin.

This thread really speaks to me. I sold my .1 turbo a little over a month ago. I built it just the way I wanted with all the goodies from Sam and had only put 68mm VTG’s on it about 2 months before selling. I sold it because I am building a garage on a new piece of property, so I wouldn’t be able to garage it. Do I regret selling it? No. Do I miss it? Hell yeah I do. 991Turbos are the perfect go fast car to me. My plan when the garage is done is to find a .2 turbo and built it out like I did my .1. I am going to look for a chalk car to start with this time because I love that color. No doubt .1 and .2 turbos are a bargain for the trills they provide.

The real question I am having is what it the stable mate? I am struggling with that currently. I want something that is a bit more of an event to drive. Something that the appetence is a bit more special in my book. I have loved the look of a Ferrari 458 for years. I have grown to like the look of the Aventador. I still find a/c cobras to be beautiful. The 992 GT3 is a head turner. See this is the hard part. What’s the car that isn’t going to compete with the 991 for go fast but really scratches that dammmmnnnnn look?

I was battling that awhile ago.
was looking into the

Huracan - too slow
488 - nice but meh
600LT - great until i drove it.
GT3 /GT3RS - missed the acceleration - to hear 9K = eventually end in jail.
F12 - meh looks, V12 is great, handling meh

I took my girlfriend to see a play in another town, 65 miles away. I thought we left a little late, so I was hot footing it to get there before the curtain went up. This car felt so good, it does everything ,not well, but perfectly! We got there in plenty of time, but the drive home was just as much fun because I was reminded just how good this car is.

I may be one of the only people that has really never had the desire for a GT3 / 3RS.
I don't really like their looks. Big wings aren't my thing.
NA sound and revs are great but I'm a "Turbo" guy!! I love the sound of a turbo whistle (when I was into modded diesels and others)
I'm into HP but mainly TQ!! After having a 1050 WHP and 1700 WTQ Diesel truck that ran 10's at 130 mph, most anything else NA just doesn't impress me.
Could I drive one and love it, Sure!! But I'd Always be longing for the "power".

For me, If I could afford a new car and keep my 991.2TTS, I'd have to go for another TTS. 992 with some mods sounds really fun (minus the interior and lack of a real shifter).

I'll say it like I always do to the GT guys....."If you're afraid of real manly power of the TTS, just say so"!! lolol

As for the track, I still think I'd choose My car or a 992TTS with a setup of Cup2's. I doubt many people in GT will get too far away from me, and if they do, so be it.

Found them.
The first pic is two pages of the Porsche 911 sales brochure that I tore out to make a poster.
The second pic are two pages out of a 1995 R&T mag that I also taped together to make a poster.
I'm going to have to go thru my boxes of old mags and see if I can find one issue of C&D or R&T where, IIRC, they tested the three models of the 959 with all the stats.
That was a special issue, IMO.
Ahh, the good old days.

My pleasure!
If I can find that issue with the 959 tests, I plan to scan it to pdf and share it here in its entirety.

I remember reading the 959 test in R&T as a young lad - it would be neat to see that again.

I may still actually have a few of those magazines from the 80's. I have several and need to find them.

I loved reading about these cars and dreaming to own one (Like all of us I'm sure).

Wow, that's awesome!

I remember some of those road test articles in C&D. Kicking myself for not holding on to them. But, alas, only way now to read the old issues is on the internet. Not the same as having the original issue.

I actually have 3 or 4 decent sized boxes of older car mags in my garage attic.
I'll have to go thru them and see if there are any pertinent or cool tests based on the covers.
If there are, I'll take pics of each and post them up in another thread to see if there is any interest in them.
I can scan them if requested as well as the 959 article.
I know I have the 1995 or so road test of the 993 turbo.
