Help me with weight loss.

The very first pic of the 'What did you do to your 991 today thread', I was weighing in at around 330+ lbs.
Today, I am at a touch over 220, 6'3".(Christmas and bourbon have brought me up from 215, which will be rectified in January).
I figure that is good for at least a 1/10th in the quarter...

What are you mixing with that whiskey? An average whiskey neat or on the rocks is only about 105 calories. I wouldn't blame the whiskey on any weight gain. Cheers!

First off, ... a big congrats on losing over a hundred pounds and for your height, 220 lbs isn't too bad now.

Always straight; a buddy of mine can make a mean old fashioned, but that's a little to fancy for just myself.
Big fan of Michter's.

Yeah, Old Fashioned's have really become popular again. You drink a few of those cocktails and you're going gain back a few of those tenths of a second lost on the track. LOL

Stock Porsche Turbo seats are a super heavy!
Just put Sparco QRT-C Performance seats in my 996 Turbo. Lighweight buckets, but still usable for street use. Carbon shell, leather and alcantara cover, FIA approved. They weight ~12 pounds each. The power comfort seats on the 996 Turbo are ~55 pounds each, and I'm sure the 991 18-ways are that and more. Even after a few pounds for mounts, that's ~100 pounds for the pair right there.
The other low hanging fruit is the exhaust system... Stock system is a porker. Put on a titanium catless setup and save maybe another ~40 pounds?
This guy is pretty heavy!
then go lightweight wheels, lightweight battery... If your really serious, the carpet is freaking heavy as well!
But if you really want to lose some weight, maybe go for an earlier generation Turbo? Easily get to below 3,200 without stripping the car, still 520+ HP. The 991 Turbo, as awesome of a car as it is, will never be light!

I'm digging them as well. Not quite as comfortable as the "comfort" seats I removed (go figure!), but superb once you get into the twisties. Not as super-deep of a bucket as many other race seats, and the carbon/leather/alcantara matches the interior vibe of the Turbo perfectly.
I still have to install the passenger seat (maybe tomorrow?), but I'll take some better pictures once they are in.

They do blend well with your interior quite nicely, and after my fiasco with my sparcos, I would absolutely do those if they folded.
Merry Christmas Paul, hope you continue to rock it with all your awesome car friends into 2022.
