Default Silver Hood Crest

So I am wanting to install a Silver Hood Crest like the one below on my 991.1 Turbo.
I am going with a whole Black/White/Silver theme on my car so think the Silver hood crest would fit perfect into my theme.
However, I cannot seem to find one online that seems authentic. From what I read I don't think Porsche makes these?
I did a search and not much info on this forum about them so was hoping someone knew where I could get one...Thanks!

Last time I've seen those for sale was in the classifieds section on this forum. Somebody had a bunch of those with slightly different styles.

I'll keep and eye out for you.

How was the quality? Any issue with the pins?

I went with the silver theme on my silver car. Can’t recall where I got it, very good quality. Perhaps Etsy, $90. Not a Porsche product. Also added silver black Wheel center caps which are oem.

now, if there is a way to change the emblem on the steering wheel......

Quality is pretty good. The pins were a little off but the hood has wiggle room so it wasn't an issue. I did have to trim the rubber gasket a bit because it stuck out a little at the bottom.

One thing I did not like was that the original is flat on the surface and this one has the raised logo lines (if that makes any sense). Its more of a preference but not a deal breaker.

I would suggest to order new nuts, gasket, and the tape/film that goes behind the badge. Also, be careful when removing the nuts as they can fall through the hood subframe and that would be a pain to get them out.

Here are the part numbers for a 991:
9P1-853-611 - Hood Emblem Gasket
PAF-009-010 - Adhesive Film
WHT-004-974 - Emblem Nut (Need two of these since I think they're one time use)

I think most if not all of the custom badges use the older 'raised logo' style badges, but on your example, it looks like the letters were filled in with the white paint.

I have a similar custom badge on my 2014 Turbo S... The badge was originally on my 996 Turbo. I swapped it over to the 991 to make sure I liked the look before I bought a new one but never replaced the 996 badge (which now wears the newer style OE 991 badge).

It was on the 996T when I purchased it quite a few years ago, so I don't know the original source, but it looks very similar to either the "reflective titanium-silver finish" badge or the "matte blacked out with gun-metal" badges from Aase Sales...

I get compliments on it all the time, adds a bit of a special touch, and looks fantastic with the Agate Gray paint and black accents on my car. Looked great on the 996 Turbo Arctic Silver as well!

This is the badge back when it was on the 996 Turbo. Just ordered another one for it now that I'm looking at them!

This is the one I just ordered from Aase to put one back on the 996TT...

Subtle, but good changes.

Not easily since one would have to take apart the airbag, which is why I put one over the top, from a 356 and refinished:

I also did the hood and wheels:

The Miami Blue Targa GTS was my last P-car and the Racing Yellow Spyder is my current one.

Sweet cars. Can you please expand more on the "put one over the top and refinished"? What refinishing was needed? How far out does it stick out? Any side profile pics?

Thank you!

Anil.

It barely sticks out but it is flat without the very slight curve of the airbag crest. They were refinished by Jim from Carrera East Studios, who sells Black/Silver ones on eBay. The wheel centers on the Spyder though are decals - I am waiting on real crests and those are made out for the crests that come on the Porsche keychains.
