Cool look, but having a metal badge launched at your chest or face with explosive velocity would be no fun if the airbag ever deploys... I assume it is a metal badge?

Metal for sure, the actual Porsche part that goes on the 356 frunk grab bar. I will take my chances since the odds of an accident are slim, so slim that the way it looks wins! Besides, based on the way the airbag deploys and how I attached it (silicon and 3M tape) I am not worried:

And no one noticed that I replace the silver trim rings as well - painted Black in the Spyder and Blue in the Targa.

My AASE badge arrived a few days ago... Here is a comparison to another custom badge of unknown origin I have on my 991 Turbo, though it was originally on my 996 Turbo. I bought a second one to put back on the 996 Turbo..

Minor differences between the badges, but happy with it. This is the "reflective titanium-silver finish" badge. Shipping was quick, badge was well packaged.

Total was $58.75 shipped including $5.25 shipping and two new badge nuts.

Ebay or AASE Sales. The Miami Blue one was a custom painted (and expensive crest) by Carrera East Studios - search Rennlist for info on them if you want to pursue it.

Yes, but he is so busy he is taking a long time to get crests made. I have been waiting for 2 for many months now.

Bob, did you ever get your crests from Jim Yurgealitis at Carreraeast?

November 2022, I ordered 4 wheel crests, 1 hood crest, and 1 steering wheel crest painted in Gentian Blue and Racing Yellow in Nov 2022 and paid $820. In addition, I purchased a steering wheel crest from Porsche of Annapolis and had it shipped directly to Jim (required for the steering wheel crest). He answered an e-mail December 2022 and stated he was busy with work, had put my project on the back burner, and didn't know when he'd be able to finish. He answered my call in early spring and stated he was still busy with no idea when he'd finish.

Now, he's gone dark and none of my calls or e-mails are answered.

Same here. The last I heard from him was on Jan. 10th when he said he was still working on them. I also bought a crest and had it shipped directly to him and he owes me a replacement for a wheel cap since the paint in one small area was not to his liking.

I plan on filing complaints with the Maryland Attorney General's office (mail and wire fraud), the BBB, and every social media associated with Jim or Carreraeast.

He made a set for my Miami Blue Targa GTS and for many others for years so I am not sure what could have happened now. I sent him a letter in the mail and never heard back.
