Exactly!! If it had the shifter like we do, I'd SO want one (putting up with some of the interior stuff I'm not a fan of).

Yes, I'm considering this. My reluctance is voiding my warranty. I've got 2 years left on original and 2 from CPO (total of 4 years).

I don't think I could drive the 992 to its limits to take advantage of better handling over my 991.2. My ego says I can, but ...

The right choice!

I took delivery on a C8 Z51 convertible earlier this year. It was an 18 month wait. About 12 months into that wait, further delays on the C8 had me looking around for other options, and I picked up a fantastic 991 Turbo S to go with my 996 Turbo. When the C8 was finally ready, I still took it, but I knew It had mighty big shoes to fill to consider displacing either of the 911's from limited garage spaces.

Suffice to say it wan't close. Sold it to a broker (big premium made it an even easier decision) and not once have I wished i still had it. Decent enough car, but just didn't hold a candle to the Turbos. It was a pretty color though!

Beautiful C8 there! Mine was going to be a Z51 HTC 3LT. I still didn't care for the interior layout, tho. The layout in the Porsche looks and feels perfect which, unfortunately, the C8 doesn't.

I bought the Porsche on impulse. I have no regrets and very glad I bought it. I still have a fondness in my heart for Corvettes, but it has now taken a backseat to the 991.2 Turbo. My Corvette is now driven mostly by my wife. LOL

Yes, "The right choice."
