Chrome has got to go
Guys, I have a PTS Ruby Red 2017 Turbo S that has chrome lettering on the rear, and I hate it.
My car has gloss black accents and the Aerokit in Gloss black so the chrome looks out of place to me. I called Pelican and they told me the OEM lettering is only offered in chrome and that i would need to piece together the PORSCHE (upper) and the 911Turbo S (lower)from another model like the 997 perhaps. I would like it to look as OE as possible but definitely want the gloss black. I am sure it has been done by someone and perhaps there is a good option that looks great. Any help would be appreciated. Rod B

You could always go stealth, with no lettering at all. I've considered this. You might also try www.bumperplugs.com and see what they can do for you.

I had this done,,,I think they came from the dealer...very costly like 7-800 CDN...my detailer supplied and installed (they have the template) so maybe check with your dealer..they may have pieced together from more than 1 model..Cayenne +..etc

Plasti Dip, really easy and cheap. If you don't like it you can just peel it off. I didn't add any gloss, but you can. looks better in person and when its not dirty. Excuse the dirty car, in the middle of plug change

You can get the OEM black from Suncoast:

Don't know why Pelican could be so wrong.

I had the same motivation - with black aerokit and door handles, chrome was giving a mixed message. My lettering was chrome before replaced with the Suncoast option. Powder-coated the wheels gloss black and swapped out the original chrome headlight washer nozzles to black as well.

I know it sounds cheezy on a $100-200K car, but plasti-dip really works extremely well for this sort of thing. Easy and inexpensive, and if you don't like it you can peel it off. Certainly worth trying before you spend $500 for OE black emblems.
My 991 Turbo has OE black lettering, previous owner upgraded, looks excellent. My 996 Turbo has plasti-dip Turbo script that I did about three years ago, also looks excellent.

did you have the emblems removed before plasti dip or just used painters tape?

I plasti-dipped them as well ~3 years ago. Still holding up.
