Default PCM reset...

I am not sure if it needs to be reset, but yesterday I noticed that my Recent Calls list on the PCM had disappeared from the car, however it was still on the phone.

Shutting everything down and restarting it did not seem to make the list on the PCM return, so I am curious as to why this may have happened, or if I am doing something wrong - which is a possibility.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Cheers,

Do you have 991.1 or 991.2 ? PCM in my .1 sometimes just shuts down audio and call list goes away. I have to shut everything down and start up and it usually returns. I asked the dealer and they had no answer only to tell me to do the shutdown/re-start. I think PCM in the .1 are known for the erratic behavior and phone integration is sketchy. I don't think there is any solution and probably nothing you did wrong. Dealer also was not going to replace PCM under my CPO unless PCM had a meltdown and will not re-start.

This one is a 991.2 - and the only thing it isn't doing is updating the recent calls list, my contacts and everything else is working fine.

Should also mention that it is an Iphone that is having this issue; the Android works fine.

I suggest doing a hard reset of the iPhone first.

IMO, most PCM flakiness is due to iOS updates.

Thank you Sir - I did try powering it off, left it off for a few minutes and powered it back up. I will go into the settings and see what other kind of resetting I can do.

Cheers,
Vulcan Neck Pinch: hold the power switch and home button down simultaneously until it power cycles and you see the apple logo on the screen.

Ok, disconnected everything from the car and started again - solved.

Somewhat odd that it didn't like the data before, but now it appears to.

Thanks,
