how long did it take?
It’s pretty straightforward if you watch that video. It was night so you definitely need a good flashlight if you’re going to do it in the evening. Also something to lay on as you’re going to be on the ground a lot of the time or really all the time. And being as the car is low you don’t have a lot of room to work with. Some of the clips got hung up a bit and I had to pry them out. Other than that it really wasn’t too bad. I’d say it took me about 40 minutes to do the one side. I’m sure I will do the other side faster tomorrow. I didn’t feel like doing it tonight as I would have to jockey a bunch of cars around. I keep all my cars in the garage and my 911 drivers side is too close to the wall.

Look slightly wider than my RS.1 skirts. Now that I see the pics I don't know if there is enough difference.

So, some final thoughts. I woke up this morning and put the driver side skirt on. Took me a little less time maybe 30 minutes. You always seem to run into some stupid clip that doesn’t want to come out without some persuasion. Also my car was missing one of the screws. The one in the rear that was behind the wheel liner. No big deal. It necessitated a run to the hardware store.

After I got done I got in and out of the car a couple of times. You definitely have to watch stepping in and out. I was hitting the inside of my ankle or my Achilles tendon. Not a big deal, and I’m sure I will get used to it, but just saying.

I also measured it to see the difference. I measured right under the door handle area where it sticks out the most. It’s a 2 inch difference between the stock skirt and the RS skirt. I don’t know what the previous generation RS skirt measures.

I do like the look. Only us Porsche car guys will notice if any.

Now what hat to do with the old ones. I guess keep them and maybe switch them back on sale?

Those who installed theirs, would you say they are this size?

These aren't mine (photos are from Instagram) just comparing these with those that just installed on theirs. These seems bigger, more than 2inches, no?

Now those I like. They are bigger. I wonder if they are the GT2 RS versions?

Not sure, his caption mentions the GT3 RS side skirts. I messaged him to see if he knew the part number but he doesn't know it.

Are you saying they look like the ones on the Red TT in the pic above?

I can’t wait to install these over the weekend!

I’m on a plane now, flying home. Looking forward to unpacking the boxes of Porsche stuff waiting for me. I have a few carbon fiber bits waiting for me too.

Can't wait to hear how they fit Denis. Good luck with the install.
