went from 38/48 full load door decal to 34/43 comfort in manual......much smoother on rough surfaces......handling improvement difficult to measure on street surfaces/speeds....thanks for info..

The front/Rear pressure gap is still too high.. Factory settings are this way to bias the car for understeer and provide further safety. You can reduce rear to 36/38 and will like much more how it handles.

Manual says at 68 degrees standard pressure is 34 Ft 43 R, Comfort (up to 165mph) 31 Ft 36 R. So it sounds like most of you guys are in the factory spec range. I can't recall what the dealer set my pressure at but it was in the 40s in the rear. What ever it is it feels very harsh. I'm going to lower it.
You could also go do some fast figure 8s in a big empty parking lot and take some tire temp and see how it looks. After a spirited run around some sweeping curves on the way home last night, with no one else on the streets and including a little tail out on one tight, less than 90 degree corner, when I got home I felt the tires and the fronts were quite a bit warmer. So that also indicates I need less rear pressure.
I did some math based on a Turbo S weight bias at 39% Ft 61% R and 35 psi Ft pressure, but that didn't seem to work out at all. That worked out to mid 50spsi.
The dealer and my computer always want the rear tire pressure higher than the front in my Cayenne too, even though the weight is front bias by a fair amount, I run less in the rear and it rides a lot better, plus I can hardly tell any wear difference front to back when I switch out to my winter or summer tires.

My new 2019 TTS came with 38F 48R cold. Rears were not contacting the entire tread. Hot it jumped to 42F 52R. I just reset them to 35F 38.5R cold and will check the contact patch again.

If you run them at those temps you will be in the mid 40's after a slight warm up.
Check your comfort setting/partial load on your TPMS in your PCM. 31-31 f. X. 34-35 rear. Try it for one day after letting the tires heat up. If you don't love it add air. This is what I run on my TTS with Michelin 4S.

Comfort and partial load- what a difference!

After driving a week at 35/38.5 set cold, it’s much better than the original 38/48 cold. But the rear tread wear was not all the way to the end width. Dropped the rear to 37 cold to retest.

Take the leap of faith. 37-38 cold is still to high. Go 31 f and 34-35 rear. You will feel the difference in a good way. Tires will heat up after a little driving to 38. So where you are more they are going over 40.

Stock TPMS was 38/48 cold. 42/52 hot. 1.63 sixty ft. Pirelli.
Dropped to TPMS 35/38 cold. Did not check hot. 1.58 to 1.60 sixty ft.
Dropped to TPMS 35/37 cold. 38/41 hot. Solid 1.58 sixty ft.

I set the cold pressures using a quality tire pressure gauge. I run Michelin 4S after running Pzeros.
Go to your TPMS in your PCM, change to comfort, partial load and set at 31-32 f x 34-35 r cold. You will not get any error messages and you will like the ride and handling. Have done this on my last 3 911's with no tire wear issue.
