2016 911.1 Turbo trade in value?
Guys,
Need some guidance here, I am considering trading in my 2016 911 turbo but two of my close freinds think I should sell it myself. It has 17k mile, new tires, clear bra and warranty/prepaid maintenance until 7/2020. I attached the option list below.
What do you guys/gals think I should be getting as a trade in? I have been offered 120k to 123k and want to do a sanity check with you knowledgeable folks on the board.
Thanks
has about a year of warranty

if you trade it in, then it depends on the deal, including what discount they offer you on the new car
so what you need to compare is how much cash out of pocket between private sale/purchase and trade/purchase
typically you will always get more when you sell it yourself, however it may take a while, you have the hassle of going through the process
120's for a '16 turbo in trade sounds pretty good to me, I'd probably do the trade, but then I really don't like dealing with prospective buyers

I just purchased an ultra clean CPO 2015 TT Exclusive build car with 62 options, 2yr & 8 months of warranty, full body xpel, and 15k on it for $127k (build sheet well over $200k). It seems that anything above 120 is a great trade in value.
This varies from state to state, but in general, your trade-in should subtract from the amount of sales tax you pay on the new vehicle. At a 6% state sales tax rate, that $120k would yield a $7,200 savings to consider as part of the trade.
I'd take that trade in a heartbeat and of course the question lingers... What are you trading it for?

They are low balling you a bit. Manheim numbers for a 16 Turbo are running in the 113 to 132 range. With your miles color etc it says you should be closer to 128. Without your specifics it says you should land around 123. So likely the dealer is not putting your specifics and trying to give themselves some instant profit at the auction block if they happen to go that route. Btw Cali is not one of those states that offer a sales tax break on a trade in. (communists) Most recent car close to your miles (16k in this case) cross the block for 126k even and that was December 20th in PA. Usually these cars do better sales wise in the spring versus dead of winter.

Also agree trade in value should be in the 120k range.
I bought my 2015 CPO 991.1 turbo with 20K miles for $118k and it was by far the best price I could find for the miles and condition.

If you can afford a 911 Turbo your time is worth more than what you will spend dealing with the incessant stream of tire kickers going the private sale route. In my experience dealers always hold a little bit back on trade in offers, try to push them a little higher but those offers seem reasonable based on what others are saying here.

Aston Vantage V12's are great value as the depreciation curve is quite steep. Enjoy the chase for the right car!

Agree, I just paid $126,900 for an exclusive build 15 TT with fewer miles and a build sheet over $200k. Trying to get $127 on a 16 TT in trade with a $170k build sheet is stretching it a bit too far.

wow- that seems like a good trade-in for a turbo non-s. my trade-in offer for '15 tts, 6,900 miles, perfect condition and just-done major service wasn't far from that.
