Default Turbo S worth $56k more?

I have a 2015 991 CS4 cab. Looking at trading it in for a 2015 Turbo S Cab. Both have approx 20k miles.

My trade in was offered at 80k and the selling price of the Turbo S is $136k.

Is the Turbo S Cab worth the 56k upgrade?

Thx

(my msrp was $142 and the Turbo S was $204 back in 2015)

I considered buying a lower cost well driven 991 turbo S before I found a decent deal on a local 991s.
The sound of the NA motor and ability to go through a couple of gears before being too out of hand are enjoyable to me.
I'd still trade it for a 991s turbo with a tune and exhaust any day!
No replacement for the torque/rush a turbo provides IMO.

I would say it depends on your driving style. Do you use big power often? Go Turbo S. Do you barely go past 1/2 throttle? Stick with what you have.

911mhawk has a bunch of valid points.

I personally feel as if 136k is too much for a 2015. Whatever floats your boat though. Money comes, money goes. Do what makes you happy.

FWIW my .2 GTS with a ECU flash and exhaust is faster than a TTS in a drag race and I'm sure it would be quicker around a track given the weight and OEM suspension goodies.

good luck to you.

Depends on what you want. To me, it’s not.

But I can see the appeal.

And ive certainly made decisions that are more irresponsible than this one.

Yeah I use to own a Pana Turbo and it got totaled in a flood last year so bought the 911 and while I love the car I miss the power..i wish the math was better in that the price is not far off the delta when they were new.

Have you considered a non-S Turbo? Maybe you can find one for $95-$100k, and if you want more power slap a tune on it.

How about ordering a new 992S? Has turbos, plenty fast, and you can spec it exactly as you want.

Personally I actually find the Carrera models more fun than the Turbo.

That's my understanding. But in the meantime you'd still be driving a pretty fine 911.

Some people just can't handle the extra power....No shame in it. Know your limits.

As a Turbo S Cabriolet owner, I think you know where I fall in this discussion.

It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.
