Default Pre-owned 991.2 Turbo S used as a PDE car

Guys -

I looking to buy a pre-owned 991.2 Turbo-S. It has 16k miles on it, PCNA have a notation on the car of PDE and demo. This makes me think the car was used in the Porsche Driving Experience as a track vehicle and maybe later used as a demo. But I have no way of knowing the split in the miles.

I can get the car with CPO. Is it worthwhile to get a car that was used in the PDE?

Thanks for help on this.

Only if the price is amazing. Most will say no. Ceramic brakes are really expensive. How much life do they have left?

I did the PDE. The cars are driven hard, but they are meticulously maintained by factory Porsche techs and refurbished before they go up for sale. I mean new windshields, brakes, etc. Check the car out and see what kind of shape it is in. The GTS and .2 Turbo S were immaculate and had a few thousand miles on them. At the end end of the two days they are pretty dirty and some with chipped windshields, etc. They obviously refurbish them quite extensively after each class because both of my cars looked new inside and out at the beginning of the class.

I did the PDE and agree with A418t81, cars are very well maintained. These cars are built to take abuse. I would not disqualify a car I was considering because of PDE history. However the price should be considerably cheaper, I'd expect 10-20% less than comparable cars, because the next buyer will want a discount as well, and it will attract a narrower market because many will shy away from it.

As other said, look for a discount and check PCCB rotor life left (if it's below 70%, ask for an even bigger discount)

I had this conversation with a service tech at the PEC in Los Angeles (slightly different Porsche driving program, but similar), and they keep their cars in meticulous shape per A418t81 said above...better than you will find with your typical lease trade-in, etc...I agree that pricing should reflect it's previous use, but there should be no real mechanical issues given how well they are maintained.
