991.2 Gts vs turboS
I know it’s been talked about before but I too can’t decide to go with what I think is the better looking classic 911 gts or get the torque monster, but not as aesthetically pleasing to me, turboS. A little bit of my background. I just sold my Ferrari F12 because it it just didn’t put a big enough smile on my face for the payments I was making on it. My daily driver is a 2014 Porsche PTTS that I love and every time I go to sell it for something else, I just can’t do it. I thought it only makes sense for me to get a 911 turboS but I don’t like the looks of it as much as the 911 gts but not sure the gts will be ‘enough’ for me. True world problems I know! For those who have been in that situation please tell me why you made that decision and if you are happy with it.

Drive both. I had 4 previous TT's of 996 and 997 vintage. Went to the NA 4S after a 1 year 911 hiatus. Not a GTS but close. Car was awesome no doubt.
I am now in the Turbo S, don't know what you don't like about the looks, the car is just unbelievable. Much stiffer more planted car, so quick and with a little help from Cobb, very quick, and when you want a great touring car it can't be beat.
Depends on your driving plans. Obviously if you want MT, GTS is the option but drive both the right one will talk to you.

Get the turbo s, you will not be sorry. I purchased a turbo s as a "hump car" while waiting for my 812, I have had a 86, 930 turbo and a 96' turbo, can't tell you how much I love this Porsche, it just does a lot of things very well, so much so that since I got it in Jan I have driven it over 2k miles, which is hard to believe because we had snow on the ground for the month of March

^ you sir are in the minority. The rear end of the TT/TTS is what many of us love... bigger smile = no brainer. These purchases are about the most fun per mile you can have. GTS is fast and fun but the TTS is amazing.

I canceled my 991.2 GTS allocation after driving and bought a .1 Turbo S. Don't get me wrong it is a fantastic car but for the same price of a new 991.2 you can have a newsed Turbo S and get the looks, power and all the options.
This is an interesting fact, the 991.2 GTS's have a 12" rear wheel with N1 spec tire where the Turbo's use a 11.5 with N0 Spec tire. I wanted it all so I ordered a set of the GTS wheels and they fit perfect!
