track tires for 991
whats up guys, Im looking to buy sport cup 2's for my 991.1 turbo and putting them on my stock rims. Was wondering if i should go with he OEM sizes are go bigger. Ive read that others have gone bigger to avoid understeer. Can anyone help me with their experiences that they had? should i stick with the same 245/305 or go bigger?
thanks.
thanks.

I would upsize only for aesthetics. Maybe it reduces understeer, because these heavy Turbos can sometimes plow. However, I can still get the tail out on stock wheel sizes in my TTS. The Pilot Cup Sport 2's are a vast improvement over the P Zero's only on the track, so I assume you intend on tracking your car with this rubber. Therefore I would certainly stick to the 20" OEM wheel/tire size. You will save a few bucks, too. BTW, I have always wondered if a little more front tire width (+0.5") would help the car in turns, but I'm not certain if there is a Porsche spec PSC2 greater than the OEM 245/35R20 size. I do not think the 21" wheel offers more width, either.
Good Luck!
