Default 992 Turbo

When does everyone think the new 992 Turbo/Turbo S will be released?

A reasonable guess would be to assume the same release cycle as the 997.2/991.1 transition. If the 992 Carreras come out in late 2019, then about two years later would put them around 2021.

With the 2014 991.1 and 2017 991.2, they came out only a couple of months after the Carerra and Carerra S, so I would bet in Fall of 2019 as a 2020 model, Spring 2020 at the latest.

The 991.1 Carrera and Carrera S launched in 2012. The Carrera 4 and 4S were a year begind in 2013. The Turbo came in 2014.

So yes the 2014 991.1 Carrera and Turbo came out at same time, but the 991.1 Carrera had already been out for almost 2 years.

My guy also says late 2020 deliveries for 2021 model year.
If the cycle stays true, then that should be the case......I think.
So many 911's, so little time.....

Agree, if that is indeed the car.
I like the lines on the 991.2 way better.
I cannot imagine that these pictures are the actual car.
If it is, I'm glad I'm picking up a new 991 TTS Cab this year.
Maybe I'll even buy out the lease on the current one as well.
I am not happy with these pics....
I am also not liking the flared out wheels wells in these pics.

Obviously, this car still has plenty of tacked on bits for now. The license plate and brake light shown are not going to be the final, but probably just needed for road testing, while they finish up the actual final areas. Is it me, or does it look like 21" rear wheels, with 20" front? Very evolutionary design, but let's see what the performance increase will be. Most people will not be able to look at a 991 and 992 and tell they are different generations, but I personally don't mind that.

I had a 2012 991S and it had abut 15 campaigns on it. I then ordered a '14 turbo when they came out. So that time line is about right.

The latest I've heard is fall 2019 for announcement and spring/summer 2020 for first NA deliveries for Turbo.
