Financially I use the mental model that "convertible" is more like an option, not a model variant. As all options it has really sucky resale value. New quite a bit more, and coupes and verts quickly cost the same when used.
Doesn't apply to turbo, but for regular carreras you can do an enthusiast build with manual transmission and other driving goodies that carries great resale value. In a coupe. Doing that to a vert has a much smaller audience.
