Default 2015 GT3 values....

Am I right to think these are holding pretty well....I got a very good offer on a trade....$6K under MSRP on a $144K car with 8500 miles.....albeit I would be paying a premium on their car, which they are asking $20K over sticker for....and I'm haven't even given them a counter offer yet....

Was just surprised on the offer....

Ask them how much for a straight up buy without a trade? The $20K over MSRP for new one is factored in.

Other ways to look at it:
- they are offering $26k under MSRP with their car at MSRP
- they are giving you MSRP for yours and gouging you for $14k on theirs

If you get sales tax credit, it would help some, but neither of the above seem like good deals to me. Their offer seems good as they are screwing you in other ways.

Yea I realize the end result is how much I'm paying out of pocket with my car....Right now the initial offer is a delta of $91,500....and yes the sales tax on the trade is saved.....

I wouldn't say I'm getting gouged though.....From my research it's a fair asking price on their '16 RS though I think I can get it for less than $20K over.....it's a high optioned car at an MSRP of $210K

And to everyone that will chime in on RS prices....a car at sticker, which doesn't exist, would last a millisecond on the market....

I agree. The used RS at sticker thing is a unicorn. Might have happened but rarely duplicated. Was just looking at the prices on RS's at dealers and I doubt they'd take $200K on any of them.

How about if you look at it being $15000 under MSRP for your 2-year old used car with 8500 miles, and $10,000 over for their new RS? That would sound reasonable in today's market, don't you think?

I believe the RS has about $9k of aftermarket options, which makes the asking $11K over MSRP

Is a '16 RS really worth 91k more than a '15 GT3? Damn.

I could think of a ton of cars I'd buy for 91k and park right next to the '15 GT3. YMMV.

While that may be true I can't think of one car I would want or have time to enjoy for $90K in addition to the GT3....regardless I've got no more room for an additional vehicle on top of what I have....from the get go I never thought the RS was even worth $50K more than the RS....I still want one

And yes the car in question has got about $5K in additions, $3K in exhaust and full front clear bra....the SA to ld me (and I'm sure others) that there was an $7K exhaust on the car but that was not the case.....

It's called "overallowance."

While you indulge the thinking you ripped the dealer for $10k more than your trade-in's worth, they're bending you over for $20k on the new.

Dealers didn't build their $10M facility from donations...

Well like I said I haven't countered on their price but really don't feel like even at the beginning I'm being bent over....I can always walk if I don't like the deal....RS's in this price range, at least from my research, are not easy to come by....unless I'm looking in the wrong places.....

And I further limit myself because I want sofa seats....most cars, understandably, came with the buckets....

End of the day u/need to feel good about the deal and I think the GT3 trade is fair 6K less than MSRP cost of ownership has been 250.00 per month if you had it for two years. Now the RS I yet to see any go for MSRP, and the offer is a 8.7% premium ...offer 5% and see where it goes?? They can only say no, and you say yes. Good luck ......
