I thought he was talking about the Mclaren

Yes he was driving in a completely unsafe manner. I was very disappointed with him as he is a friend of mine.

Mark.
Location of the drivers side radiator seems to indicate that it was damaged when it hit the curb and climbed up over the median.

It's kept me off the grass when, if in 997RS I would have gone flying off...

Leave the nannies on and car will usually save you. That said, RWS took some getting used to; easy to overdrive the car initially.

Look closer in the lower photo, that is the headlight on the ground, not the radiator.

Is Caitlyn OK?

Sry, but gotta chuckle at 99% of the cars that get front end damage on the streets.

I'd be major bummed as owner knowing my car wasn't factory mint anymore. I'd end up hating driving it and dumping asap it at a major loss.

Sure there's enough skilled labor in Socal to get it fixed up, but the wait is going to be the dumbest thing to deal with - an RS part or two or three on backorder for who knows how long.

That really sucks. Every time you reach for the keys you need to remind yourself to keep it sane on the street.

Hope everyone is okay---cars have accidents...it doesn't mean you're a douche bag if it happens on city streets---it is a high profile car and to assume the driver was driving in a reckless manor is a guess at this point.

I have owned 911's for around 18 years now and they have on (2) occasions gave me a close call that could have ended up with the same result...going over a median....my 991 S with PDK reminded me in Sport Plus mode that while the grip levels are exceptionally high...the rear end can break traction and come around (very quickly) under moderate throttle and turn when (1) Tires are not up to temp and (2) road condition is less than ideal...sand, dirt, water, gravel....

I feel empathy for the person who experienced this crash....it could have happened to any one of us...911's tend to be driven in a spirited manor even on city streets...This reminds me to remember these cars are not magical and can get into accidents---

Cheers

And this is one of the reasons why I go to the track with my cars...I get the wanting to go fast out of my system and when I get back I'm normally just cruising around town. Besides, I have too much at stake to get busted for reckless driving on the street.
