Wish I could have been there too. There is a planned SF-LA drive in May-June with me, Golfnutintib, SSTHO and possibly others. You should join for the LA legs. I think mooty may be trying to talk you into the best part of it this weekend: 33 to 58 and back. Those roads make the canyons seem amateurish.

I opted instead today to suffer and take a buddy up Alpine Dam and Mt. Tam for the first time. Epic views and a solid 3k climb.

I asked one rider he said it’s 6-8% grade. I would
loce do some climbing here in march when not so hot.

Mooty, your pics are getting very artsy.

Golfnutintub, let me know the dates of the next drive down here. If Spyerx is leading, I may not even be able to keep up. He is faster in his G in the canyons than he is on track with his RS.

skxf430 - mooty had a minor stroke at dinner... had two servings of bone marrow on buttered toast -- cholesterol impeded blood flow to right brain, caused hands to tremble uncontrollably while shooting pics... 45 min later after ingesting large amounts of sugar the situation improved... but only somewhat. last sign of mooty was in front on restaurant in long beach trying to summon up enough digital coordination to order uber ride back to hotel

dinner experience plus the physical abuse from all day driving of g body relic lacking power steering assist leaves mooty as shadow of former self

leave out the bit about the required 10k road bike miles annually to make the diet work otherwise it won't sell.

Beat me to it Nizer.

Mooty, there are some wicked grades down there too. Keep trying to figure out if a Seasucker mount would hold on the RS between window and wing. I worry about doing triple digits on 33 with a 14lb road bike hanging on for dear life

ChrisF - I can confirm the SeaSucker is good for triple digits 😏
