I do get my beans locally here in the Bay. I used to shop around but recently I've been stuck with Cats & Cloud in Santa Cruz. They're based in SC and the owner Chris Baca was former Barista Champion. And I do enjoy the taste of their beans.
Oh I certainly get the 'counter appeal' aspect of it for sure! I'll make a move on the Linea Mini and go from there. Just having the access to it at a reasonable buy-in makes it even better.
Really funny you mention Cat & Cloud. I've had a subscription to them for over 2 years now. They never disappoint!
I make the drive up the coast to the bay from SD every few months for work and I'll stop in Santa Cruz for them every time.
