I'm going to send it back and swap for the single bike model. Curvature of the roof makes adhesion to the sunroof a little challenging and is putting more stress on the surface than I'd like. Other than that, it's awesome.

I have the single and love it - no issues at all.

Chris, curvature of roof, and hence the rack deck, vs. lateral loads on roof from the much narrower foot print of the Talon?

I like the width of the Bomber for lateral forces, espcially when running MTBs. But then again, I stick it on rear glass (may curve less?). I feel the bomber deck is fairly flexible.

I also have the Talon decks, but not used them, yet (other than for transporting cargo).

Yes. Given that I have to mount the front on the sunroof and it has a lot of curve, you have to force one cup to stick on then the board torques against the glass; not ideal. I don't have the wing to mount the rear wheel to so slightly different mounting.

I rarely transport 2 bikes and if I do I'll just buy another.

Steamed rice noodles with shrimp and cilantro.

Shrimp dumplings.

Quick light lunch in Chinatown Boston before a nice 2 hour drive.

Hit up the 000 event at Canepa this morning. Traffic on 17 was a junkshow due to multiple accidents but eventually got there. Some nice cars there today.

Took Hwy 9 over to Alice’s and grabbing some lunch now. Saw a load of Lambos heading south on 9. Surprised that no one at Alice’s now.

Oh, and a long stretch of Hwy 9 is getting repaved so rocks galore! The Cup 2s are definitely better at throwing them around.

edit: posted some pics in 997 forum --> https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...at-canepa.html

Fun event and a lot of new faces. Bunch of 993’s getting worked on in the shop.

Those Lamborghini’s and Ferris’s that passed you were full of “asshatery” on the 1 SB. Passing on the shoulder and turn lanes. A couple in a tribute AC Cobra almost lost it trying to keep with them and me (trying to get out of the way at a “safe” speed) on the two to four lane switch north of Marina. If you and anyone here knows the 100 Octane participants, tell them they’re going to kill there own or another with the ignorance.

it’s just my experience. ymmv. I have not met any lambo drivers who can drive.

ferrari 25% drives well

porsche asshats too. but a smart driver knows when to speed up. speed doesn’t kill stupidity does.

frankly if you REALLY know how to drive (and I include some big name pro too), u will have hamilton or button’s seats. since u don’t .... then u are not gods gift to driving just drive and have fun. nothing to proof bc u are not that good

yea, and add to that the extra dose of bravado (stupidity?) that seems to come along with being part of a "rally".
they seemed to be behaving well when i saw them rolling thru one of the small towns on Hwy 9, but could see how an open road might entice them.

Was able to drop by the 000 event -- was a good time with lots of friendly folks. Hard to believe I've been in the Bay Area for the last 20 years and never managed to visit Canepa. Walking through the museum was quite a treat (and definitely helped with the heat).

17 was a mess. More accidents than normal on both sides.

Former Lambo owner here. I’d like to think I can drive. Tracked it for a year. Had a blast. Car was bullet proof but changed to better track car after 1 season.

Met many owners. Did a couple Lambo factory trips. Plenty of asshat driving and we split from the herd on the second trip. Didn’t wanna be associated with the dangerous moves like passing on double yellow or speeding through small towns.

Have also met plenty of asshat Porsche drivers and every other marque. And some nice folks who drive quite well.
Had tons of fun with it for over 4 seasons. Put on almost 18000 miles.
