Default PORSCHE 991 GT3RS is STILL KING

Given there is a BMW M4 GTS and the highly touted AMG GT R, Top Gear analyst Chris Harris still votes PORSCHE 991 GT3RS 991, still the undisputed "KING" of the track.

The 991.2 GT3 is being made to compete against turbocharged / large displacement competition from McLaren, Ferrari, BMW, Mercedes, etc. (including Corvette and Viper), not the 991.1 RS

I agree. As AP says the latest GT car is always the best. I don't doubt that. No need for a thread debating that.

Now is the time for the .2 991 Gt3. It is the latest and greatest. The .2 991 RS will obviously be even better & faster and then the 992 GT3 will no doubt out perform all the 991s.

In the turbo variety the upcoming Gt2/RS will be king. No car will be able to beat it on the track with a ring time below 7.00.

Maybe. At best they will be neck and neck. I expect the porsche will outplay them.

I'm in favor of rebranding the next RS as a 991.3 GT3 to save us from "an RS is an RS..." WHATEVER that is apart from reaching for a few things in the parts bin and slapping a sticker on its butt to save weight. Lol
