I don't get it.. 7secs faster than the RS??? All that because of a new engine? RS has much more aero (front bents etc..), larger tires.. weird..

Don't know if it's true, but some have said the RS's 7:20 was set on a damp track. Also while the RS definitely has more downforce, it also has more drag which matters on such a fast track. GT2 RS will have even more downforce and enough power to nullify any drag concerns

So much for the argument that the .2 isn't much different than the .1.

I'm confused, I thought times couldn't be official if the car that does the time isn't the same as the production car?

That GT3 has Roll cage and race seat?

RS time was on damp track. Always heard it was low 7:10's. GT2RS will be below 7:00 for sure and next RS might be a 7:05 car.

Consider that the track is not exactly the same, it's faster nowadays!

We never seen the Official Press Relese by Porsche for RS nurburgring time! (driver unknown, wet track)

If the same driver will drive RS on the same day with GT3 maybe it will "spoil" this party?

Yeah, but an RS is an RS.

Whoopsy explained to me that the N1's in the GT3's size are likely a different (stickier) compound to the N1's on the RS - that would help explain it...

I guess the N designations may only correspond within the different size ranges (RS/918, GT4, GT3, etc...)

If this is true, a GT4 with N1 fronts (same size as GT3) and N0 rears might be the cure to understeer

RS have all around N1 tires. Maybe not as stickier...
In this picture 2.GT3 have rear tires N0 !
So are the N1 tires for 2.GT3 like option ?

Somebody put on a rear tire from a .1 GT3 by mistake (or necessity)...

I think this is not the mistake. BB on the numer plate, so it's "factory's test car"

I like how this car doesn't have LWB seats, but a real race seat. Kind of proves that the LWB is at best a dual purpose seat (which is how most use the GT3).
