991.2GT3; Track It vs. Street Driving

Interesting to see the % of people who will only street the .2 GT3. And those responses are on an "enthusiast" website so likely even higher in broader ownership group. I wonder if Porsche will take note of this and add even more comfort features, lux options, suspension control, etc. to the GT3 over time. Or maybe people are just sick of the luxury orientation of the 991 non-GT cars.
Edit: I also wonder if people know what they're getting in to. The GT3 is awesome and all but it's not for the feint of heart as a DD.

Those of you who are claiming you must track the GT3 to enjoy are missing the point of the car. For years Porsche's were considered terrific sport cars but for them to be truly enjoyed you had to drive them close to their limit. The GT3 changed that.
While driving a GT3 you can be at lower speeds and enjoy the exhilarating sound, the precision of steering, the low end torque which project and instill in the driver that he is driving a race car on a street. This is what Ferrari has excelled at. In a Ferrari, at low speeds the driver/owner felt a sense of occasion driving the car. So it will be with the .2GT3.

A lot depends on where you live. Gt3 or RS in Florida for street driving is no fun.
Some places are better than others for active street driving.
A bad day at work can be saved by having a gt car sitting outside the office waiting for the drive home. And sometimes I don't take the shortest route home.

I can see the manual adding back some engagement on the road, but the IMO platform is just too capable and fast for the road. I was just reminded of that when driving the car on country roads for 40 minutes.

Should also be said that track driving ruins a bit of the fun driving on the road.
Once you feel the grip and start approaching the limits of these cars on track it changes the perspective of street driving.
Still so much to enjoy on the road. The feel and the sound of the car. Parking it and looking back after you locked it. The whole package.
But, the driving experience is mostly enjoyed on track.

THIS! THIS!
Sure, it's a 996, sure it's non-GT (though with GT-like mods)... but Jethro nailed it!
This is what I'd hope for out of my GT3... God willing, even 10-20 years from now.
