8 ball, why the hold up on the next gen Cayenne. Will base have the 2.9 TT v-6?

I know that your 8 ball can't look too far into the future, but does Porsche have any plans on another NA spyder (basically a topless GT4?). That of course comes with the assumption that the next GT4(RS) will come with a motorsports focused mill. I feel like a spyder would be a great addition to the garage.

Can I jump in on this one? If you're serious about a spyder, just buy a current one, then sell it and replace if and when the next one is to your liking. The current spyder or even the 987 versions are universally considered to be cars which punch way above their weight in terms of performance, fun, and looks... just buy what you can afford and enjoy it today. The "next best thing" or "grass is greener later" mindset won't do you any favors. If on the other hand you're just dreaming/tire-kicking then that's cool too.

A lot of people want the opportunity to spec a car of this caliber themselves, not pay over MSRP for a used sample with someone else's options.

I would love if PAG makes another Spyder.

Yup, the pickings are slim out there in used Spyderland these days. Finding anything close to your ideal build is near impossible. But I expect we're years away from the next Spyder, so it's gonna be quite a wait.

I really agree with CAlexio. Buy now if you are able. Life is too short to wait around for the next best thing. I like convertibles and never track my cars (wife and kids want me around a bit longer, thus prohibited), so the Spyder is a perfect Porsche for me. It performs well for street driving, looks great, sounds incredible, and is just plain fun to drive.

There are only 15 Spyders actively for sale in the U.S. right now, none of which are very compelling builds (Colors, wheels, seats, miles) or have very compelling asking prices. Buy used now and you're likely paying top dollar for a less desirable build and you'll get hammered when you sell it in a couple years when the next Spyder comes out. Seems a little foolish to me, but different strokes.

I hear what you're saying, but are you really "hammered" when you're only plunking down 100k in the first place? It's not like it's a 350k mclaren.
