I have heard of it maybe happening for a few but basically it is NEARLY impossible to get Porsche to paint the calipers from the factory.

I know the car and I know it was done at the dealership. Sorry. Oops, forgot to quote. I was referring to the Maritime Blue 997.2 RS 4.0

Interesting. Well, I stand corrected. I was told that day it was done at the factory, and was near impossible to make it happen. Obviously misinformation.

I talked with Micheal of Porsche Exclusive in Atlanta. He told me they wouldn't do it (as of now).

I was trying to dig up a pic. I took several next to it in the shop: wheels off, calipers gone before delivery to chuck. I'm afraid I deleted them to make room on my phone for my kiddo pictures. Oops!

You'll have to try. Haven't seen that attempt yet, so I can't give you a definite answer.

Seen Acid green to silver. Acid Green to black. Acid green to red. Guards Red to silver. Guards Red to black. Signal yellow to silver.

But as people have mentioned earlier, its case by case, sometimes they will say yes sometimes no (yes even on the same car requesting same color). You're more likely to get a no for an answer for non standard colors, like if you want your calipers sapphire blue, mahogany, or PTS colors.

Great information here Chaosoul … appreciate this info as it is just another one of those Porsche options clouded in secrecy for most of us!

Just for the record PCCB's have always been and continue to be painted SPEED YELLOW … not signal yellow … just so folks don't get confused

everybody who is saying painted calipers are absolutely not possible through CXX - should bet with me (500USD e.g. ) - and i will proof that it is possible. also for not family members.

and damned - you have to book minimum one or two flight ticket to Stuttgart + a lot of cakes and phone calls.
or i could do this / i can help somebody out in case. but just acid green, silver and black as far i know. but prepare for around 6.000USD as surcharge and a couple of weeks of production delay...

The last time I had my calipers rebuilt and painted it was $600 for all four. Looked perfect and matched my socks perfectly.

this is the way to go.

or you are a crazy PTS/CXX "have to be on the built sheet" guy.

personal opinion: i would never spend this amount of effort, money and production delay for colored calipers. (if i have the choice)

Wow, Porsche will place a special order with Brembo for $6K plus sweet talk, and still only standard colors.
Sister company Lamborghini will do the same thing for just the $1.5K in those and other colors.
