991.2 GT3 as a daily driver?
#16
For a while I had both a 991.1 GT3 (which I still have) and a GT4...
GT4 was actually the more daily driveable, due to higher ground clearance, softer ride, quieter engine, smoother shifting transmission. That is, GT4 drove more civilly than GT3 at around-town speeds and in traffic.
Having said that, the initial driving impression info out about . 2 GT3 is that it is "more refined" that .1 GT3, having a dual mass flywheel and less rattle at idle.
So, therefore I would say that, so long as you get the front axle lift option to deal with steeper incline driveways, etc., and choose a more toned down color scheme and the sofa seats, sure, a .2 GT3 ought to work OK as a daily driver for you if you're OK with a 2-seat sports car as your DD.

I did not find my 991 GT3 too uncivil for daily driving. It did have axle lift and 18 way adaptive seats and was reasonably comfortable and of course PDK makes it easy to drive in traffic. However I did find it a bit boring on the street and a little obvious with the big rear wing.
IMO, it's a car that needs to be driven fast or at least where there are lots of curves so it's higher performance can be enjoyed. I ended up selling it because I was not using it that much and there are no tracks nearby where I live where I could let it all hang out. I picked up a 2014 C2S cab which is more fun on the street but obviously not as sporty and certainly not a track car. I am very happy with it so far.
So long as you find the GT3 fun to drive on every day roads where you live, that is what I think is most important to consider. I think the comfort level is adequate.

please advise your dealer's contact information. As a dedicated masochist, I can relieve him of the burden of an unsold GT3-2 allocation.

I would not daily drive my GT3. It is a weekend toy. Porsche makes 738 different 911's so they should have one more suited for DD.
