I saw a video on youtube a little while ago where they wrapped a GT3RS in Satin Black and it looked amazing with the yellow calipers.

Here is a link to that video:

Have not seen the matte finish, have any pics?

I prepped a buddies GT3 for new film on the rear hips today. He had filmed the front of the car but left the factory film in place on the hips. I was appalled at the damage that had occurred in just 20k. Not sure of the actual track days but the hips had really taken a beating mostly outside of the factory film. I am also replacing the film on the hips of my GT3 but I have no damage because I removed the factory film and installed the film up above the door handle line on the rear hips. My advise, do it and cover everything.

I had the whole front done, doors, mirrors, bottom corner panels all the way back past the air ducts.

They did a nice job and held up nicely during AX this weekend, after washing it you can't see a thing.

I do also add blue tape to the area you are taking about on top of the clear bra and even on the black plastic part on the bottom because I know how badly those areas get hit.

This is what i use to get those marks off and it is wonderful!

Very easy to get stuff off and leaves no marks, just spray a little on a soft cloth and those rubber marks come off like butter.

I also use i on my wheels to get the rubber marks off with a breeze.

Were you there over the weekend?

I'm pretty sure you meant to say, Gulf blue instead of Lapis. I had a Lapis blue Pcar.

Maybe it was Lapis originally, but was wrapped in Gulf blue/orange? Looks awesome anyhow!

Really awesome what you can do with a wrap. When/if I ever get tired of white, or the paint starts showing its age, I am going to do one. Do they provide any protection similar to PPF, or do you wrap and PPF?

I asked my friend whose shop did my wrap. He said: We use the best 3M material and we laminated so we've had great luck.
